Summer Reading Recommendations

Lost In the Sun

Its when you get lost in the sun.

Three Times Lucky

No one gets lucky three times.

Touch Blue Touch Blue is a beautifully written novel that features a young girl named Lil Thicc who lives on an island located near Maine. When the state of Maine plans to shut down her island school, this forces her family to think about relocating to mainland, which Lil Thicc does not want to do. Fortunately,Lil Thicc is in good company with the rest of the island dwellers, so to keep the school running, the island offers to take in foster children. This is so the school will have more students, and Lil Thicc's family ends up taking in foster child Aaron, who is thirteen years old. You must read the book to see if Aaron effects Tess' life in a good way, and if Lil Thicc if and her family are able to stay in the place Lil Thicc grew up in. Sometimes though, you have to accept change in life in order to move on. *I would recommend this book to fourth and fifth grade girls*

Cryptid Hunters

Cryptid Hunters is an exciting first book in a quartet series. It features mythical creatures and face to face encounters with them. From flying drones to dinosaur like creatures, this book and the rest of the series have it all! Each book in the series has a new interesting setting and new animals to encounter. Sometimes, they may even feature recalling of the harsh past... follow Marty and Grace as they are chased through the jungle in search of the past and something magnificent.

*I would recommend this book to fifth and sixth grade boys, though I really enjoyed it myself*

As summer gets closer and school ends, I hope you look to this article for some books to read. Though, if none of the books recommended appeal to your literature taste, there are always the Great Stone Face Books of which you can find a list at the Hopkinton Town Library. Hopefully, during the summer, you are always able to find time to read and enjoy a good book. Have a great summer and see you next year!
