Everyone likes flowers and fresh fruits and vegetables, right? Well, you can grow all of those in spring and enjoy having them right in your yard. In this article, you will learn some gardening dos and don'ts and helpful tips to grow your own garden.

Tip One:
Always make sure that you use fresh and organic gardening manure to insure that your plants gets all the nutrients it needs. Without this important food, your plants will be small, weak, and unhealthy. You probably won't get what you were expecting out of it without these nutrients.
Tip Two:
Some types of weed killers will kill your plants and helpful insects in the dirt. Make extra sure that you use good weed killer that won't kill your plants and will keep the dirt healthy. Brands like this are usually marked. Or you can pull the weeds by hand, just be sure you get the roots, too, or those nasty plants will grow back!
Tip Three:
Always plant seeds at the time they are supposed to be planted. For instance, peas and broccoli should be planted earlier in the year, and carrots later. If you don't plant them at the right time, they won't grow correctly. Also, make sure you give your plants the right amount of sunlight and water. Give them the right weather protection, too.
Tip Four:
Don't grow too much! Some gardeners are overwhelmed by the amount of crops they have to take care of. Make sure to plant just what you want and not too much or too little. Don't crowd your plants, either. They should be the right length apart and have plenty of room to grow.
Tip Five:
Animals will constantly try to get into your garden. You can prevent this with wires and fences. Also, when your planting your seeds, cover them with a good layer of dirt so birds don't eat them. It will usually say on the packet how deep to bury them.
